Build and Deploy a Docker Image to a Kubernetes ClusterGo to Lab
container registry deployment didn't score correctly
thanks a lot
Third time lucky. Got confused by the manifest files supplies in the tar file. Only the deployment one was useful (after renaming app to echo-app which isn't necessarily obvious since the instructions say it should be called echo-web). The rest for ingress etc. are not required. I just had to go to the EKS UI, Workloads, echo-app, and click on the expose to tell it to expose to 8000. Not immediately obvious given Google recommends using an Ingress (HTTP LB) instead of a LoadBalancer service (TCP LB). But hey, got there in the end. It's not called a challenge for no reason.
Second attempt, still stuck at 75/100. Unclear what's missing as I can successfully access it via the Ingress and LoadBalancer . Trying to change the deployment name, service name, ingress name etc. now, in case it's a flawed validation.
nice experience with k8's
Hard, but great lab.
