The lab materials are out of date, not in sync, at least for the Mac client. Starts you on SSH then magically assumes you're in PuTTY... Since it doesn't actually go thru how to get PuTTY going it's kind of tough to continue...

This was my first using the console. After getting set up, I had to get familiar with the interface but after that I was creating instances, volumes and making snapshots. Great introduction!

scrolling through the pdf is clunky. my init file didn't start. you could use cat instead of nano.
