Programming AWS Security Token Service (STS) with .NETGo to Lab
The instruction do not quiet align with the installation/IDE environment. Some downloads need to be googled before I can get them right. The IDE does not have the AWS Tools installed (even after I installed them)
Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition is no longer available.
I don't have windows
couldn't find visual studio 2015 community edition, and zip solution didn't work on 2017, as there was no AWS explore pane under View.
I was able to Program an AWS Security Token Service
This lab needs to be updated! VS 2015 Community appears to no longer be available. User must download VS 2017 Community. [https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/community/] All install options are unchecked by default so they need to select ".NET desktop environment". Then it needs the 2017 AWS Toolkit which is in preview. [https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/developer/preview-of-the-aws-toolkit-for-visual-studio-2017/] Also didn't feel that the instructions in this one were up to Qwiklabs' usual quality. Needs a revamp.
lab is old requires update, Visual studio has latest version and download is too slow. Recommendation: An existing visual studio installer with EC2 instance.
It was bad , It 's outdated , the link for VS 2015 is not working !
vs 2015 download link broken. reference: Visual Studio 2017 download https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/ Preview of the AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio 2017 ( AWS Toolkit Install ) https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/developer/preview-of-the-aws-toolkit-for-visual-studio-2017/
There is a broken link - the Visual Studio Community download page is no longer valid.
This lab is out of date and is unusable. The download link for Visual studio is a 404 as 2017 is now the standard version. The directions you have provided do not work for 2017!
The download link for VS is no longer working
