Overview

This lab demonstrates the steps to upload data to Amazon S3 and make it available for anyone to access via a web browser. You will learn how to create an Amazon S3 bucket, configure it to host a static website, upload objects to it, and even use JavaScript to display those objects on a web page. Along the way, you’ll learn some best practices for publishing data on Amazon S3. At the end of this lab you will have deployed a simple web site that makes data easy to access and provides basic documentation of the data.

Topics covered

When you finish the lab, you will be able to:

  • Create an Amazon S3 bucket.
  • Upload objects to Amazon S3.
  • Create a Bucket Policy to set permissions on a bucket.
